Jack White announces debut solo album: Blunderbuss
It is about time: Jack White has announced his first-ever solo album. As his new site factors out, Blunderbuss will arrive April 24th through 3rd Man Records/Columbia.
Developed by White and recorded at Third Guy Studio in Nashville, Blunderbuss has been described by White as “an album I couldn’t have released until finally now. I’ve put off making records below my own name for a extended time but these songs truly feel like they could only be presented under my title. These songs were written from scratch, had nothing to do with anybody or anything else but my own expression, my very own colors on my own canvas,” according to an issued press release.
The album’s lead single, “Love Interruption”, will be accessible to stream at some point right now (members of Third Man’s Vault can hear it now.) Update: Stream it under! It will be released digitally tomorrow and on 7″ vinyl on February 7th (pre-orders are ongoing). The single is backed by a non-album track referred to as “Machine Gun Silhouette”.

Lauren Alaina has premiered the music video for her new single ‘Georgia Peaches’.
The teenager, who finished as runner-up on the tenth season of American Idol, unveiled the 2nd track to be lifted from her Wildflower album on CMT.
Speaking about filming the video, she said: “Creating the ‘Georgia Peaches’ video was a blast. I got to have some of my closest close friends in the video. We had been laughing and possessing a great time all through the evening. I enjoy that I was able to have them there.
“The song just spoke to me when I heard it. I felt like I could have written it myself. I am a proud Georgia Peach!”
The music video was filmed at the Sylvan Park Melrose restaurant in Nashville.

Jimmy Fallon to release album under Warner Music Nashville label
Jimmy Fallon is releasing an album under Warner Music Nashville, it has been announced.
The Late Night host has frequently featured notable music performances on his chatshow. Back in May, he paid tribute to Bob Marley with a string of musical performances on the 30th anniversary of the singer’s death.
The former Saturday Night Live star is also known for his Neil Young impersonation, having previously parodied Miley Cyrus‘s ‘Party in the USA’ as Young featuring David Crosby and Graham Nash.
“Having a new album coming out soon on Warner Bros means so much to me,” he said in a statement. “Mostly, it means I should probably start writing some songs.”
Warner has said that the album “will include music, parodies and other impresario compositions that became instant classics after performances by Jimmy and his guests on the Late Night show”.
Fallon’s upcoming album is expected to drop in the summer of 2012.
