If you’re in the mood to see a 53-12 months outdated girl pretend to be a cheerleader while dancing all around in a leotard then have no worry simply because Madonna is here. The middle-aged mother released an extended preview of her ‘Give Me All Your Luvin” video by way of ‘American Idol’ this evening and it depicted her acting far more like a young Britney Spears than the supposed Queen of Pop.

The complete version of ‘Give Me’, which functions Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. will debut tomorrow. The song will also be accessible solely on iTunes at that time right up until February 6th.

Lana Del Rey sings ‘Video Games’ on Jan. 14′s ‘Saturday Night Dwell.’

Regardless of all the scathing testimonials for her Jan. 14 “Saturday Night Dwell” overall performance, Lana Del Rey claims to have satisfied the most essential critic — herself.

“I in fact felt good about it,” the 25-12 months-outdated singer advised Rolling Stone. “I believed I looked lovely and sang fine.

“It felt Ok. The cast and crew said they loved it. I know some people didn’t like it, but that is just the way I carry out, and my followers know that.”

The interview took spot on the Monday after her overall performance, but surfaced on the eve of the release of Del Rey’s main-label record debut.

Del Rey landed the coveted gig even before her CD, “Born to Die,” had even been released the New York-born performer had designed a large on-line buzz right after posting a video of her song “Video Games.” Now that the album is officially out, critics have moved on from bashing her “SNL” overall performance — to bashing her record.

The New York item has turn out to be a lightning rod above her come-hither sex goddess looks, her viral video achievement — her YouTube clip for “Video Video games” was viewed more than 20 million instances and led to her contract with Interscope Records — and the “uniformity” of her songs.

“Each and every 1 of its 15 songs follows the fashion of the initial single, awash in cheesy synthesized string results, weighed down by dead-bolt beats. The two components stifle the mix, only to swell (or, rather, bloat) at predictable moments,” wrote the Daily News’ Jim Farber in his evaluation. “It is all meant to sound grand and stately, but it feels inert, like some proto chill-pop recording left more than from the ’80s. It’s so turgid, it helps make Enya sound manic.”

Del Rey, however, may be obtaining the last laugh: “Born to Die” debuted at No. 1 on iTunes in 14 countries, including the United States.

“Thank you for producing the record #one in 11 countries,” the singer posted on her Facebook web page earlier Tuesday. “Your sweet words have softened the impact of even the harshest evaluations. I adore you.”

Move above Ozzy. An 8-year-outdated Australian girl has become an overnight sensation for her moment-extended thrash-worthy YouTube debut — and she’s even impressing the hardcore pros.

Kristina Childs posted a clip of her eight-year-outdated daughter Juliet, a genuine head-banger-in-coaching, which has racked up five.7 million views in significantly less than 48 hrs.

“Within an hour of posting the song, I just started out getting 1000′s of emails,” Childs told the Daily News. “I was like what is all this?”

The video, utilizing a track recorded for exciting by household good friend and record producer Rob Sharpe, was filmed at a regional Brisbane park and meant just for family members.

When the requests started pouing in after it was posted, Sharpe converted the track for sale on iTunes. (“We did not want it to be pirated, we just prefered if they could hear the real one,” says Childs.)

T-shirts are also now readily available.

Juliet, however, is previously a jaded rocker. She was impressed when the range of views went past 300, much more than the quantity of youngsters in her college — but then went back to playing with her toys.

“If I’m guilty of anything, it is taking part in as well much music for it,” says Childs. “When she was a infant, she would not go to sleep unless of course we would play Marilyn Manson or Slipknot, so it is probably programmed somewhere in her brain.”

So how did she do?

The Everyday News enlisted the support of some hefty-metal royalty to evaluation Juliet’s debut.

Dave Davidson of Revocation:

The net can be a extremely disturbing and scary location but each and every when in a even though it can make issues that are downright heartwarming. Clocking in at just under a minute, “My Very first Hardcore Song” by eight-year-outdated Juliet is fully adorable and absolutely BRUTAL! This video’s got it all, stuffed animals, real animals, trampolines and of program hardcore moshing. I also genuinely dug the sincerity of the lyrics, Juliet is not singing about political agendas or how hard she is, she just loves her canine Robert and her fishes damn it! Get your two-step on!

Rick Armellino of This or The Apocalypse:

I do not care what anybody says, this lady is rocking a lot more charisma and going more difficult than about 98 % of today’s hardcore bands.

Tommy Victor of Prong:

Rebecca Black meets Harley Flanagan. Fantastic! Are they auditioning guitar gamers for a tour? Where and when? My seven-year-old nephew wishes to attempt out. Or possibly I must. A small bit of botox, who knows? Possibly I can be a star!

Oderus Urungus of GWAR:

I found myself imagining the little girl staying torn apart by a Manticore. But I imply hell, it got like 8 million hits the second it came out, so there need to be a thing cool about it.

Sal Abruscato of A Pale Horse Named Death (Daily life of Agony)

I adore it it was so excellent and the little woman did an great task fronting the hardcore vocals.

I will seem forward to hearing far more from Juliet

Tony Foresta of Municipal Waste:

This is quite humorous I guess but largely it raises a massive problem. What would happen if this video gets even far more well-liked with the youngsters and issues begin getting way out of hand. Like 3 months from now she has this enormous hardcore crew of seven year olds. You know, a bunch of little rug rats with sleeves total of temporary tattoos and terrible attitudes rolling up to all the hardcore shows kicking every person in the pits a–. Promoting Now and Laters in the bathroom, tagging Unicorns all over the spot starting beef with Madball and Agnostic Front. This could actually spin out of control. Be cautious out there!!!!

In Katy Perry’s continued bid to propel “The 1 That Got Away” to No. one on the Billboard Hot 100, she has released yet another version of the song.

The new edition, made by Jon Brion, is an acoustic, stripped down version that focuses on the sadness of the lost really like. Brion’s nimble, light touch keeps the song from getting too dragged down in the sorrow. The track is for sale on iTunes for 99 cents.

That implies followers can acquire the original edition, the remix featuring B.o.B., and now this edition (there are also some fairly nifty dance remixes of the song out there). Obtain of any of the three counts toward her chart place, which is a combination of revenue and radio perform. The song is No. 6 on the Billboard Hot one hundred this week, after peaking, so far, at No. three.

[Far more following the jump...]

As you know, the stakes are rather high right here, so you can not blame Perry’s label and management for making an attempt every single implies doable to propel the tune up the chart, even though giving her fans a thing they can take pleasure in at the very same time.

If Perry can get “The 1 That Got Away” to the best of the Billboard Hot one hundred, she will grow to be the first artist to ever take six songs from one album to No. one. She is tied with Michael Jackson at five.

In other Perry news, She is collaborating with Electronic Arts for her own collector’s edition version of “The Sims.” The “Katy Perry Sims three: Showtime” game will launch in March. Perry will be featured in commercials for the computer game.

What do you assume of the acoustic edition of “The One That Got Away?”

The youthful L.A. rapper Kendrick Lamar is properly on his way to becoming one thing really particular. Section.80, Kendrick’s really powerful 2011 album, was the work of a ferociously talented rapper and a restless, emotive mind. It wasn’t best — it chased a couple of as well a lot of half-baked ideas down different rabbit holes — but it felt like the starting of a thing thrilling. And a couple of months ago, I saw a area complete of UVA college students chanting along with nearly every single 1 of that album’s twisty stanzas. The kid is catching on in a extremely true way. And now it is worth noticing that he doesn’t come from a vacuum. In numerous methods, Kendrick is an heir to a extended-storied L.A. rap underground that’s historically located techniques to be enjoyable and adventurous in equal measures he’s got a ton of Pharcyde and Freestyle Fellowship in his creative DNA. And Kendrick is also 1 fourth of Black Hippy, a loose L.A. crew that consists of 3 other rappers virtually as talented and inquisitive as Kendrick himself. Two days ago, Schoolboy Q, an additional Black Hippy member, dropped his new album Habits &amp Contradictions on iTunes. And like Section.80, this one particular looks like the function of a youthful, not fairly entirely-formed visionary. I wouldn’t be surprised if thousands of college college students had been frantically attempting to memorize its verses at this exact second.

Inside of the ranks of Black Hippy, Kendrick is probably the most introspective member, whereas the reasonably blunt-edged Jay Rock is the hardest. Schoolboy Q rests someplace in the middle of that spectrum. Habits &amp Contradictions has a lot of talk about drugs and guns and robbery, but it generally doesn’t assault these subjects in common rap methods. Instead, we get tracks like “My Homie,” a dense and wounded story-song rapped from the viewpoint of a kid fuming in prison soon after his friend ratted him out. That’s a widespread trope in rap — take into account Jay-Z’s “A Week Ago” — but it’s virtually never rendered with the sense of raw betrayal that Q brings to the track. Along related lines, there is stuff like “Raymond 1969,” a volatile and menacing track about feeling trapped in the underworld. And although there’s plenty of rote sex-speak and bragging on the album, it’s delivered with design and stuttery, polysyllabic force.

Q is very considerably a portion of the net-rap zeitgeist I know folks who assume he stole LIVELOVEA$ AP away from ASAP Rocky with his verse on “Brand New Guy.” And that comes into play on Habits &amp Contradictions. ASAP guests, as do all the other members of Black Hippy and a couple of other surging weed-and-sneakers varieties like Curren$ y and Dom Kennedy. But Q doesn’t truly need all people guests he switches his voice up usually enough that his voice in no way feels repetitive over the album’s hour-prolonged playing time. Sonically, the album also addresses a great deal of ground. We get a handful of fun and surprising sample options: Genesis’s fluttering “Firth Of Fifth” on “Gangsta In Designer,” Portishead’s wracked “Cowboys” on “Raymond 1969.” Lex Luger gets a likelihood to try out out a crackly stoner-rap sound on “Grooveline Pt. one,” whereas a track like “Druggy Wit Hoes Again” has a bloopy Casio-bounce simplicity. Sounds twist and ripple and continually adjust, and that is how the Black Hippy children seem to be to like it.

I didn’t get an advance copy of Habits &amp Contradictions or anything. There is a lot going on in this album, and I’m only beginning to pick it apart. But from jump, it’s pretty obvious that this is an exciting piece of operate from an artists who’s still discovering his voice. It is not perfect, but it is damn excellent, and I’d be prepared to bet that Schoolboy Q will do even better items further down the line.

Habits &amp Contradictions is out now on Leading Dawg Entertainment. And this week, there are also a few other albums out that are worthy of some interest. Kathleen Edwards’s Voyageur is lovely and sonically sophisticated singer-songwriter folk-pop Justin Vernon co-generates the album and helps bring the expansive instrumentation. Loma Prieta’s I.V. is harsh, explosive Converge-type post-hardcore with some impressively layered musical concepts. The Big Pink’s Long term This is perfectly qualified huge-chorus Brit-rock. And the American release of The Boys, the album from the apparently ridiculously well-known Korean lady group Girls Generation, has some unbelievably catchy tracks on it, even if the attempts at American pop-radio crossovers fall completely flat.

Want a pick-me-up following spending morning watching (and rewatching) Lana Del Rey’s wooden SNL outing?

Sleigh Bells has the remedy. The Brooklyn noise-pop duo hit the net right now with “Comeback Kid,” the first appropriate single from their upcoming sophomore effort Reign of Terror, due February 21.

The track — whose optimistic title gives an substitute to the underachiever anthem “Born to Shed,” a previously released RoT cut – pleasingly fuses pummeling beats and grungy guitar heroics with Alexis Krauss’ sugar-sweet vocals.

You can acquire the track on iTunes (it also comes free if you preorder the album), but first examine it out under:
