Dierks Bentley’s ‘Tip It On Back’: Hear the new song from his CD ‘Home’ here! — EXCLUSIVE

Dierks Bentley 320 Dierks Bentley’s ‘Tip It On Back’: Hear the new song from his CD ‘Home’ here! — EXCLUSIVE

Dierks Bentley has in no way met a drink he didn’t like, and on his new song “Tip It On Back,” which you can stream exclusively right here at the Music Mix, he would like you to join him.

The track, which comes from his upcoming CD Property (out Feb. 7), trades in the raucous humor discovered in Home‘s chart-topping drinking ode “Am I the Only One particular,” and functions more as an evening select-me-up following a prolonged, difficult week.

(According to EW’s Mandi Bierly, Dierks can make a ideal seasonal anti-depressant all by himself, but a couple of adult beverages don’t harm either.) “Tip it on back, make it feel good,” he encourages his fellow imbibing bar hounds.

Give the work-reprieve a listen below, and then crack open a beer and kick back. (It’s 5 o’clock somewhere, right? Perhaps Australia?)

What do you believe of the song? Sound off in the feedback beneath! And appear for a critique of Dierks’ Home in the up coming issue of EW.

Watch ‘Parks and Rec’ star Aubrey Plaza go crazy in new clip from ex Fleet Foxes drummer J. Tillman — VIDEO EXCLUSIVE

father john misty 1801 Watch ‘Parks and Rec’ star Aubrey Plaza go crazy in new clip from ex Fleet Foxes drummer J. Tillman — VIDEO EXCLUSIVE

As soon as on a time, a lot of months and Lana Del Rey posts ago, we asked Aubrey Plaza what was on her iPod.

The Parks and Recreation actress tipped us off to the then-unreleased “Hollywood Forever Cemetery” from J. Tillman, formerly of the Fleet Foxes, and mentioned that she’d be starring in its video.

Aubrey Plaza is not a liar!

Underneath the moniker Father John Misty, Tillman has released the song (now titled ”Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings”) as the lead single off his forthcoming debut Fear Fun (out May possibly 1), as properly as a video to match. Named for one L.A.’s oldest burial grounds, the droney psych-rock dirge is a bit of a departure from Fleet Foxes’ fey forest-folk, but 1 that will probably please old followers nonetheless.

As for the video: “We created this trippy funeral scene in Laurel Canyon,” Parks and Rec‘s deadpan doyenne advised us back in September. “I play a insane man or woman who destroys the funeral.”

Watch Plaza go certifiably H.A.M.– consuming flowers, smashing turntables, smoking apples — on in the video under:

Lady Gaga Will Not Release Any More Singles from ‘Born This Way’

LadyGagaSL Lady Gaga Will Not Release Any More Singles from Born This Way

Bummer, little monsters! In spite of reports of ‘Heavy Metal Lover’ as Lady Gaga’s up coming single, an exec from her label, Interscope Records, nixed the rumors and then some.

In the ‘Ask Billboard‘ characteristic, a Gaga fan wrote in suggesting that her track ‘Scheiße’ must be released as a single. Nonetheless, not only will ‘Scheiße’ not be released as a single, but neither will any of the other remaining tracks. The label executive informed Billboard that he is “not conscious of any latest plans for another single from the album.” Taking into consideration that these kinds of decisions are generally created way in advance, it doesn’t bode effectively for followers of that song nor of ‘Heavy Metal Lover.’

The news follows sluggish sales of her most current single, ‘Marry the Night.’ Although her earlier ‘Born This Way’ tracks have loved top rated 10 good results (the title track hit No. one, ‘Judas’ No. 10, ‘Edge of Glory’ No. 3 and ‘You and I’ No. 6), ‘Marry’ peaked at No. 29 on the Hot 100. Final week, it was stuck at No. 53, whilst this week is slid even further down to No. 65. It is the initial Gaga single (out of a whopping 11!) not to break the top 10 — even after she slashed get rates on the song.

A French music website at first reported that ‘Heavy Metal Lover’ would be released as Gaga’s sixth single, but it seems these rumors were false — however it is possible that ‘Lover’ will be released as a single abroad. Perhaps time will inform!

But do not be concerned, minor monsters. Your mother promised a new album in 2012, so it will not be extended till she graces our airwaves again. Paws up!

Britney Spears gets an unlikely compliment from Method Man on ‘The TRL Decade’: Watch the EXCLUSIVE clip here!

britney spears 180 Britney Spears gets an unlikely compliment from Method Man on ‘The TRL Decade’: Watch the EXCLUSIVE clip here!Amongst its launch in 1998 and its finale in 2008, MTV’s Total Request Live acted as the center of the television universe for pop music, movie stars, and no matter what else fell into teen culture throughout the turn of the century. Airing dwell every single day right after school live from MTV’s studio overlooking Times Square, TRL was an institution that not only counted down the most well-known music video clips of the day but also acted as a clearinghouse for what was cool in an age prior to social networking.

That note gets hit on a lot in the new documentary The TRL Decade, an hour-lengthy specific that premieres this Sunday, January 29 at 9:30 PM on VH1 as portion of their RockDocs series. The film traces the origins of the present, which was constructed from the DNA of two other MTV reveals (Complete Request and MTV Live), and follows it via its large peak throughout the pop music boom period that noticed acts like the Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, Britney Spears, and Christina Aguilera ruled the radio.

It also highlights a range of massive moments in the show’s historical past, from wild star visits from Michael Jackson and Tom Cruise to critical organization like the Columbine shooting and September 11th. As the display factors out, TRL was the place where youthful individuals came to see what other teens have been speaking about, and in the days ahead of Facebook, it was a gateway to arguments and cultural consensus.

But of course, it was also a area wherever stars would collide in unpredictable ways. In the unique clip below, rapper Technique Man tells the tale of the time he and Redman showed up on an episode of TRL that was becoming guest hosted by Britney Spears and Sabrina the Teenage Witch star Melissa Joan Hart. According to Meth, they had rather an unusual exchange when they went to pose for a picture. Get the reveal below.

The TRL Decade includes classic clips featuring the likes of Mariah Carey (that ice cream incident), Jay-Z, Korn, and Nick Lachey. There’s also lots of present-day insight from the TRL hosts (like Carson Daly, Damien Fahey, Vanessa Minnillo, Quddus, and La La Anthony) as effectively as TRL regulars like Mandy Moore, Great Charlotte, Pete Wentz, and Kid Rock. The total issue rolls this Sunday, January 29 at 9:30 PM on VH1.

Megaupload ringleader Kim Dotcom working on an album, presumably so he can steal it from himself

KIM DOTCOM 320 Megaupload ringleader Kim Dotcom working on an album, presumably so he can steal it from himself

In less than a week, Megaupload figurehead Kim Dotcom (yep, that’s his real name) has gone from mysterious non-entity to everybody’s favorite eccentric Internet celebrity. The story about his crazy action movie capture—which saw him decamp to his panic room with a sawed-off shotgun—has given way to his other interests, which include collecting expensive cars (nearly $ 5 million in sweet rides were seized upon his arrest, including a pink 1959 Cadillac and a 2010 Mercedes-Benz CL63 that had a license plate that read “HACKER”), acquiring art, sending threatening e-mails to his neighbors, and acting goofy in various videos online.

Music, however, is apparently the thing that really drives him. He had been in discussions with hip-hop producer Swizz Beatz about a position with the company, helped put together the “Megaupload Mega Song,” and was apparently in the process of putting together an album himself. According to one of the producers behind the “Megaupload Mega Song,” Dotcom had been working on tracks with producer Printz Board.

“It is a phenomenal project,” Joseph “Papa” Besson told MTV Hive. “Printz Board is producing this project with Kim. I am coordinating the logistics of the release, as well as consulting on the artwork. Printz Board is executing the vision that Kim has for this project to the letter. Kim is also pushing the limits with this project. He has some huge surprises for everyone. The mix of a musical genius in Printz and an actual genius in Kim Dotcom will be history in the making, I’m sure of it.”

It’s unclear exactly what the album would sound like, though considering Dotcom’s relationship with Beatz and the caliber of talent they got for the video for their first song (including Kanye West, will.i.am, Chris Brown, Diddy, and, uh, Serena Williams), you can bet it’ll be star-packed. Of course, he may not get the chance to lay down tracks any time soon, as he is still in custody and his bail status remains up in the air (a New Zealand judge will decide later today whether he can walk out with electronic monitoring while he awaits trial). But even if the whole thing is just Dotcom crooning about various websites for 60 minutes, it can’t be much worse than your average American Idol album, right?
