Lou Reed & Metallica – “The View” Video (Dir. Darren Aronofsky)
When Loutallica met with director Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan, The Wrestler) in the Bay Area last month, they were supposed to shoot a video for “Iced Honey.” Instead they made a video for single “The View.” Not that it matters if you watch it on mute.

I never respected Dave Meyers as a filmmaker or artist, but he delivers commercially and lately it’s been surprisingly consistent.
The effects in this video could be better, the fireworks should be lighting up her face and sets at the beginning… a problem i’m seeing repeated in videos (no consideration of the VFX in the plates)… but I can’t hate this… despite budget restrains I think they did a pretty epic and admirable job, especially after that waste of a good single (teenage dream) by whoever that newb hack was.
Worth watching… cheesy sentiment at it’s best.
