Rihanna Finishing Sixth Studio Album
Rihanna is finishing her sixth studio album with a planned release date later this year, according to MTV News on July 29.
“From what I realize, she is closing the album up now,” said producer Verse Simmonds in an interview with MTV’s Mixtape Every day. “We did two records for her that she actually, truly loved and I’m genuinely excited about them as properly.”
Simmonds is apart of the Juggernauts duo along with Sham “Sak Pase” Joseph, and created Rihanna’s “Man Down” from her most current studio effort, Loud.
He continued that the duo hope they can generate yet another track for Rihanna’s upcoming album, and that their contributions would not bear any resemblance to the reggae-infused “Man Down.”
“Nah, certainly not,” Simmonds mentioned. “As producers, as artists—we attempt to always come with a thing different, a complete new sound.”
Rihanna most recently wrapped up her Loud tour across North America in New York City, and ditched her famous red locks for a considerably subtler color, according to PopCrush.

Katy Perry Floats Through Her “E.T.” Video Preview
In the latest preview for the video to Katy Perry’s fourth #1 Teenage Dream single “E.T.” (premiering tomorrow night!), there’s no sign of Kanye West drifting in zero gravity. Instead, we see an alien life form resembling Perry as she floats through space (and a questionable green screen), then wanders through a wasteland filled with spare tires and a robot spaceman. Also, the clip is interspersed with random footage of Earth-based animals in various stages of peril for some reason. Katy, where you going with all this? Watch the spacy preview below.
