American Idols Live! 2012 Tour Dates Drop

Only five contestants stay in the operating on Season 11 of ‘American Idol,’ but later this summer the whole Top rated 10 will be back for the show’s Idols Live! Tour, which characteristics 45 arena exhibits across America over a two-month span.
Remaining contestants Hollie Cavanagh, Skylar Laine, Joshua Ledet, Phillip Phillips, and Jessica Sanchez will be joined by DeAndre Brackensick, Colton Dixon, Heejun Han, Erika Van Pelt and the recently ousted Elise Testone for the trek, which kicks off July 6 in Detroit. The tour consists of a single Canadian date in Toronto and winds up back in the Midwest on Sept. eleven in Milwaukee.
Tickets go on sale May possibly eleven, but anxious supporters can enter now to win a pair of tickets for the display of their option on the ‘Idol’ website.

Erika Van Pelt had to sing for her existence on ‘American Idol‘ tonight (March 22), considering that she obtained the least amount of votes. She when once more tore through ‘I Feel in You and Me,’ which she also performed in the course of the Whitney Houston episode a number of weeks ago. On tonight’s (March 21) episode of ‘American Idol,’ the Top rated 10 had been asked to sample from Billy Joel‘s songbook, with Diddy serving as the mentor. Although a lot of of the songs came out when the contestants had been youthful (or not even born but), they all rose to the occasion and did exciting items with Joel’s songs.
Randy Jackson’s mantra for the evening was “Those who can, must!”

Shannon Magrane Eliminated on ‘American Idol’

Beautiful blonde teen Shannon Magrane was eliminated on tonight’s (March 15) episode of ‘American Idol‘ — turns out America did not like her rendition of ‘One Sweet Day.’ However, she was given a momentary stay of execution and sang the Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men song one more time in an attempt to earn the sole save from the judges. Sadly, they chose not to give her their only pass of the season. Say what? Are they crazy? Perhaps just a little.
Before Randy Jackson said that they were showing Magrane the door, we were sort of feeling like the show manufactured this drama since contestant Jermaine Jones was ousted unexpectedly on Wednesday’s episode (March 14) when producers unearthed outstanding arrest warrants for the gentle giant. It would seem that the spot vacated by Jones would eliminate the need to send a hopeful home since that would make two dismissals in one week. But ’twas not the case. Shannon went buh-bye.
Also camped out in the bottom was the always sassy Erika Van Pelt. We’re not quite sure how someone as marginally talented as Heejun Han keeps getting a pass to more rounds. He’s funny and a decent singer, but he’s not belter like Miss Magrane, so we’re thoroughly confused. Mentor Jimmy Iovine predicted that viewers would tire of his limited range in the ensuing weeks and isn’t sure why the judges are so enamored by him. He does have a winning personality, though, and we love his jokes.
Overall, we’re sorry to see Shannon Magrane go. We would’ve liked to see what else this songstress had to offer.

‘American Idol’ Top 11 Recap: Contestants Perform Songs From the Year They Were Born

On tonight’s (March 14) episode of ‘American Idol,’ the contestants were asked to perform songs from the year of their birth. That indicates the array of many years was from 1983 through 1995.
