Sasquatch! Music Festival Announces Lineup
Indie music followers have one more festival to lust over this year with Sasquatch! Music Festival releasing its 2012 lineup.
The unexpected heavyweights this year incorporate headliners Beck and Jack White, Bon Iver, Woman Talk, The Shins, Beirut, The Head and the Heart, St. Vincent, Kurt Vile, enjoyable. and Stroll the Moon.
The announcement came Thursday, Feb. 2 at Seattle, Wash.’s The Neptune, with a launch celebration and efficiency by Jose Gonzalez’s Juniper, the Physics and Matthew Caws of Nada Surf.
Sasquatch requires spot at The Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Wash on Memorial Day Weekend (May possibly 25-28). Tickets went on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. Pacific Time (one p.m. Eastern Time) at $ 315 for all 4 days and contain camping and followers can buy them through the internet site.

Carter Hulsey Announces Dates For Spring Tour

50 Cent is betting big on the New York Giants. Backstage at the Bud Light Hotel in Indianapolis during Super Bowl weekend, the hip-hop tycoon spoke to Yahoo! about the million-dollar wager on his house town.
“Baby had mentioned he had $ 5 million on the Patriots,” 50 mentioned in response to the Money Money CEO’s proposed bet on New England. “I just feel he was just passionate about the Patriots winning and just said that. I do not feel he really would bet $ five million.”
The G-Unit captain banked $ 500,000 when the Giants defeated the 49ers in the playoffs. “It would just be risking what I won the 1st time,” he explained.
But a single bet he will not be taking is posing nude on Twitter if the Giants drop, which one fan advised. “No. This is what happens on my Twitter,” he explained. “When people say truly insane factors, I say, ‘OK.’ I really don’t say anything at all else. I just say, ‘OK’ so my followers can see the crazy issues individuals say to me because they don’t pay out interest to what they are saying. They only shell out focus to my response.”

Bon Iver says ‘No, thank you’ to performing at the Grammys, with expletives
Justin Vernon of Bon Iver had a rather remarkable 2011, what with the focus for his self-titled album, his work with Kanye West, and his sudden demand as a collaborator and producer. He’s up for a handful of Grammys following Sunday, February 12, and may just walk away with some gold, but you will not see him onstage with a guitar.
The conversation surely occurred, however it broke down in apparently magnificent fashion. Billboard spoke to Vernon final evening (he’s in New York for a overall performance on Saturday Evening Dwell this weekend), and he laid out the story in instead verbose terms.
“We wished to perform our music, but had been advised that we couldn’t perform. We had to do a collaboration with a person else,” Vernon advised the magazine. “And we just felt like it was such a huge stage — we’re finding nominated for this record that we created. Me and Brian [Joseph] and a bunch of our f—ing friends and we have been offered accolades for it, and all of a sudden we have been being asked to perform music that had nothing to do with that. We kind of said ‘f— you’ a minor bit, and they type of acted like they needed us to play, but I do not assume they wanted us to play.”
Vernon didn’t divulge who the Grammy producers wanted him to collaborate with, but he did not that they had been “awesome folks.” “But you know what? F—in’ rock n’ roll must not be made the decision by men and women that have that job,” Vernon additional. “Rock n’ roll must be the f—ing people with guitars close to their backs.”
So even though Vernon will not be joining the likes of Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Bruce Springsteen, Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Foo Fighters, and Nicki Minaj on the Grammys stage, who are the “awesome people” the producers wished Vernon to tag-group with for a song or two?
