Gary Allan is no stranger to giving interviews … or getting tattoos! So when it came time to talk about his upcoming album, ‘Get Off On The Pain’ (in stores March 9), the country-rocker decided to do both.

“I think I managed to get a little bit of every record on this one. I think there’s flavors of ‘Smoke Rings in the Dark’ and flavors of ‘Used Heart for Sale’ on there. I managed to pull pieces of the other records and still managed to do something different,” Gary explained to the camera, as a needle buzzed on his right arm. “There are a couple of songs on there — ‘Get Off On The Pain’ and ‘That Ain’t Gonna Fly’ — that still managed to pull pieces of the other records and also managed to do something different and stretch ourselves a little bit.”
