Luke Bryan Enlists Famous Friends (and a Leotard!) for ACM Voting Campaign

We aren’t playing favorites in the vote for ACM Top New Solo Vocalist … But this is just too funny not to share! Luke Bryan, who is nominated alongside Jamey Johnson and Chris Young for the honor, has made a video enticing fans to vote for him. It features several of Luke’s famous friends, including Kenny Rogers, Dierks Bentley, Lady Antebellum, Blake Shelton, Emily West, Little Jimmy Dickens and Beyoncé! OK, well maybe not Beyoncé herself but rather Nashville’s version of the ‘Single Ladies’ singer, a.k.a. Luke in a leotard!

Watch the video after the jump … And while we’re not technically suggesting you vote for Luke (we love Jamey and Chris just as much!), we are suggesting you freeze this video on about the 1:43 mark and take a screen-shot, because that picture is worth a thousand laughs.

Dierks Bentley Goes Acoustic ‘Up on the Ridge’

dierks newpromo200 thumbnail Dierks Bentley Goes Acoustic Up on the RidgeWhen Dierks Bentley first moved to Nashville, he spent countless hours basking in bluegrass music at the fabled Station Inn. Since that time, he’s often been asked: “When are you going to put out a bluegrass record?” Dierks insists he was just waiting for the right time and with a hectic tour schedule winding down, the right time is this summer!

But ‘Up on the Ridge’ isn’t simply a bluegrass album. It’s more accurately described as acoustic roots music and will feature some of the most widely-acclaimed bluegrass and acoustic pickers working today, including the Del McCoury Band (previously featured on Dierks’ ‘Modern Day Drifter’ album), Alison Krauss, Tim O’Brien, Sam Bush and Chris Thile’s band, Punch Brothers. Fellow country hitmaker Miranda Lambert is also a featured guest vocalist on the disc.

Adam Lambert Is A “Voodoo” Doll, Plans Remix EP

24 0 Adam Lambert Is A “Voodoo” Doll, Plans Remix EPAdam Lambert’s “Voodoo,” co-written by “Black and Gold” singer Sam Sparro, was previously unreleased in the U.S., but that’s about to change—the fantastical dance-ballad is set to be a bonus track on the “What Do You Want From Me” and “For Your Entertainment” remix EP. Will “Voodoo” put a spell on you? Listen below.

Adam Lambert – “Voodoo”

The song is a romantic and futuristic, and allows Lambert to show off his killer pipes once again (although it takes two and a half minutes to get to the money note). Whereas Adam’s previously surfaced, Twilight-inspired track “Suburban Decay” is a pit more 70s punk-rock than 70s glam-rock, “Voodoo” definitely captures the spiritual, sensual electro vibe present in the rest of For Your Entertainment—which explains why it made the cut for the international release of Adam’s debut album.

Speaking of international, the blueberry-flavored performer is currently in Sparro’s homeland of Australia, promoting his album (which hit #1 on the iTunes pop chart Down Under) and celebrating Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras in Sydney. The only question is, can Mardi Gras handle Adam’s fabulousness?
